Respond to the following quote from the chapter titled "Last Trick". what does it mean to you?
"We don't have to look like every one else, tally, and at like every one else. We've got a choice. We can grow up any way we want to."
To me this quote means that shay believes that the operation changes every to be the same but it doesn't. There are differences according to tally. However to me personally i can see shay's point she doesn't want to take the road so many have followed. She wants to be normal or in this case different.
